The user/client can read the onlineLaw cancellation policy for appointments with legal professionals (lawyer, law firm, notary, mediator and bailiff).

The process for cancelling an appointment has been created to immediately inform the legal professional in question as to the change of schedule. Notification by the user is necessary to ensure that the calendar is updated and displays correct availabilities.

OnlineLaw reserves the right to change the appointment cancellation policy at any time, as provided by the terms of use of the service.

What is the cancellation policy for my appointment?
Your appointment must be cancelled up to 2 hours before the scheduled date & time received in the confirmation email/sms. In the event that you have not made a cancellation and have not shown up for your scheduled appointment there may be a phone call from either the office/company or an onlineLaw representative.

If there are increased cancellations or no-shows at scheduled appointments without notice then onlineLaw reserves the right to exclude you from the service as set out in the terms of use.

How do I cancel my appointment?
You can cancel your appointment in the following ways:

  • Either log in directly to your personal account or select "Cancel Appointment" via the confirmation email or reminder email, you will be taken to your upcoming appointments and from there you can click the "CANCEL" button on the appointment you wish to cancel.
  • By phone, by calling the phone number you received in the confirmation email & sms.

How will I know if my appointment has been cancelled?
Whether you make your appointment cancellation online via onlineLaw you will receive an email that your appointment has been successfully cancelled. At the same time, the legal professional is also informed.

What happens if my appointment is cancelled by the legal professional?
OnlineLaw is not responsible for cancellations or non-attendance of an appointment with a legal professional as defined by the terms of use of the service. However, it is available at all times to assist you in rebooking an appointment and to help you to be served.
